My wife and I recently visited southern Illinois. I thought it might be a bit different to review our trip (I do have other interests than technology). I have included a brief video introduction. If you are interested in learning more, I have also included a slideshow of some of the views at the Garden of the Gods.
Here is a short video introduction to some of our experiences on this trip. Keep in mind it is almost 6 hours by car from our part of the state to southern Illinois. While not as as long as California, one can still accumulate a number of miles going from one end of the state to the other.

Personally, I find it hard to believe these spots exist in Illinois. After all, I am used to living in the part of the state ground down and filled in by numerous glaciers. I wonder what central Illinois looked like before the glaciers.
